Us: a private app for two

Personal, non-commercial, not publicly released

Us is a small Android app that one person built for himself and his partner, to share a few everyday things like picking something to watch together.

What it is

Users: Two people: the developer and his partner.
Distribution: Private. Not on Google Play or any public store, and no public download.
Cost: Free. No ads, no sales, no subscriptions, no revenue.
Platform: Android phones.

The Shows picker

Users describe a mood or pick a genre and the app suggests one real title at a time, with its poster, from public catalogues. Anime and series are in a tester build. Regular movies are not available yet.

An AI feature is in development. A free AI model turns the user's mood text into catalogue filters such as genres. It never names titles or posters: titles and posters come only from the catalogues. The full phone-to-server test of this AI feature, with sign-in, is still pending, so it is not yet confirmed to work.

Planned for movies: data and images from TMDB, with attribution. This product would use the TMDB API but would not be endorsed or certified by TMDB. Movie data is not integrated yet.

Current state
A work in progress for private use. Nothing here is a public product launch.

Data sources in use

Anime: AniList, via its public API.
Series: TVmaze, via its public API, with credit to TVmaze.
